1) Remove the guitars scratch plate.
3) Fit the hot little knob in place of the tone control.
2) Disconnect the middle pickup’s tone control and remove it.
4) Unsolder the middle pickup’s hot wire from the pickup selector and re-connect it to terminal A on the hot little knob, as shown in the diagram.
6) Unsolder the bridge pickup’s ground wire and connect it to the hot little knob terminal C as shown in the diagram.
5) Connect the orange wire from terminal B on the hot little knob to the pickup selector’s middle terminal (the one that you unsoldered in step 4).
8) Connect the ground wire from the hot little knob to a convenient ground point eg the back of one of the other pots.
7) Connect the yellow wire from the Hot Little Knob terminal D to the same terminal on the 5 way selector switch as the bridge pickup’s hot wire. This terminal will now have two wires connected to it.
A: Middle pickup hot wire.
B: Orange wire to selector switch middle terminal.
C: Bridge pickup ground wire.
D: Yellow wire to selector switch’s bridge pickup terminal.
